Until the 1960s, the construction of local limestone, unusual for the lowland part of Poland, developed in theKołoValley and its surroundings. The resultwas the occurrence of architectural and construction specificity in the local construction, especially in the countryside. The last decade has brought a noticeable reduction in the number of buildings exhibiting original features. The most important reasonwas renovation andmodernizationworkswith the use of modern building materials and technologies without any attempts to maintain their regional character.
