This paper describes the tests carried out on a twintrack railway bridge that is located along line 226 to the Port of Gdańsk over Dead Vistula river. This structure has the longest bridge span of that type in Poland (Lt = 124 m). The load bearing structure is designed for load k + 2. It consists of three arches without hinges with a tie-beams. The orthotropic steel deck is suspended to the arches by hangers. During static tests ballast consisted of a set of 6 locomotives weighing from 116 to 120 t. The 6 static schemes of load settings were realized. The scope of the research included the displacement measurements of the deck and arches, strains/stresses of the deck, force in several hangers and supports settlement. In the dynamic tests the locomotive moved along the bridge with speeds from 10 to 80 km/h. The displacements, strains/stresses and accelerations of the deck and arches were recorded. The tests ended with a positive result and the object could be put into operation in accordance with the design assumptions.
