When developing new materials with better thermal insulation parameters to improve the energy efficiency of buildings, low energy consumption of production processes is also important. In this context, it is justified to investigate the possibilities of use of recycled resources. This paper presents the results of testing the thermal conductivity of cellulose depending on moisture content, in a large range of declared densities. The thermal conductivity of cellulose in the dry state is almost constant (on average λ = 0.041 W/(m•K)) and does not depend on the apparent density. The rise of the moisture content of the material at 50% and 80% RH shows an increase in thermal conductivity, depending on the density. The obtained results confirmthe potential of cellulose as a thermal insulationmaterial in building partitions.
