Usually, extreme distribution is used for counting of climate impact values that have certain probability of advancement. This distribution determines possible distributable boundary figures for extremes – minimum or maximum values. Available research or review results are often insufficient enough for precise matching to one of commonly used types of probable variable distribution. The paper presents the Peak over Threshold method (POT). In literature regarding climate issues it is called the method of all cumulations, which have crossed previously fixed level. The subject of the analysis, carried with the use of POT method, was a research data of snow load, gathered in two locations. The presented method may be used in analysing other climate impacts.
