The article covers selected problems appearing while designing Multipurpose Concert Hall in Toruń. The problems resultedmainly fromthe fact that a lot of innovative, never before applied, solutions concerning both materials and design were introduced in the process. They concern for example using wall and ceiling linings made of conglomerate of concrete with brick or volcanic tuff, introducing movable ceilings or the possibility of joining two concert halls into a bigger one. The reasons for which the problems arose were determined and then formulated the recommendations which would allow avoiding various problems while dealing with similar projects in future.
