Negligence ofmaintenance and refurbishment is themain reason of decreasing technical condition of buildings. For a larger group of objects it can be stated that buildings and their individual elements are damaged to various degrees. Due to limited financial resources, the dilemma of choosing the element to be refurbished is always a problem for the decision maker. The method presented in this paper for evaluating repair needs for existing residential buildings worn out to varying degrees can be helpful in decision making. The proposed method allows ranking of the examined building elements according to the urgency of repair needs.
