Eliminating the negative environmental effects caused by the rapid civilization development and the exploitation of natural resources in a way that ensures their availability for future generations are the current challenges that the European Union is facing. These tasks are carried out under the European Green Deal, which is an action plan to sustainable EU economy. The initiative is expected to counteract the loss of biodiversity, reduce the level of pollution and support the efficient consumption of resources through the transition to Circular Economy (CE). The implemented legislative and organizational solutions are expected to change the existing economic model into one that will ensure the effective flow of rawmaterials, power, labour and information so that it is possible to „rebuild” environmental and human resources.
