Themain purpose of laboratorymethods for evaluating skid resistance is verification of individual materials and technologies of wearing courses to prevent slippery road surfaces. Their number is incomparably lower than the number of equipment used in traffic conditions on the road. This paper presents the most important laboratory methods for assessing skid resistance and indicates the directions of the further works related to their implementation.
