The article presents numerical simulations of heat flow through timber beams of different classes, in the conditions of standard ISO fire. Numerical models were made in the SAFIR program. Then, the beam cross-sections were determined on the basis of the 300 isotherm. Finally, effort of beamsmade of various types of wood were obtained in a fire situation. Keywords: fire resistance, timber beam; wood class.
