The article presents considerations on the method of defining the equivalent uniform moment factor Cmy, which has a direct influence on the interaction parameter kyy. The analysis reveals that the bendingmoments has significant influence on the factor Cmy. Additionally, the standard non-consistency was pointed out in determining the Cmy. The considerations are based on linear static and buckling analyzes carried out in AxisVM software of a duo-pitch portal frame asymmetrically loaded for different rafter inclination angles.
