Environmental assessment of hydraulic binder based on fly ash based on PN-EN 15804

The use of coal combustion by-products (CCP) especially fly ashes in the production of hydraulic binder is an alternative to traditional solution based on cement. The article discusses the environmental characteristics of hydraulic binders produced based on the by-product combustion produced at the Pątnów power plant. The environmental assessement method, according to PN-EN 15804, can be the basis for comparing products with respect to their environmental impact. As shown in the article, the analyzed products also have a lower environmental impact in production than traditional products.
