The aim of this paper is to present a concept of BIM based design cost management with regard to the changes made to the BIM model. The proposal of a definition of this process is preceded by a concise discussion of two base concepts – building design cost management and BIM-based design change management. The paper presents the scheme of the process and a brief discussion of the potential benefits of the implementation of BIMtechnology for the purposes of the analyzes of the design changes introduced to the model and their impact on the construction cost. Keywords: BIM; cost analyzes; design change analyzes; cost management.
