The article presents an analysis of the directions of the main changes in the European Union regulations regarding the rules for the marketing of construction products, included in the draft Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council, proposed by the European Commission, laying down harmonized conditions for the marketing of construction products, amending Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 and repealing Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011. A comparison was made between the essential elements of the current regulation (so called CPR) and the draft of the new CPR. Since the text proposed by the Commission in 2022 still needs to be approved (or amended) by the EU Council and the European Parliament, the final wording of the regulation may differ in many respects from the draft described, which will be the subject of further publications.
