Failure to carry out repair work is an extremely important factor in the deterioration of a building. Failure to carry out renovation work can lead to a threat to the structural stability of the building, a threat to the lives of the occupants, further deterioration of the building through damage to subsequent elements and even to a building catastrophe. This paper presents amethod formanaging the restoration of a historic building based on the consequences of abandoning the restoration activity. The problems of restoration management are presented using the example of the palace in Drwalewice.
