Requirements for fire protection in relation to durability

The article summarizes the applicable reference documents for a wide group of products used for fire protection on building structures, walls and floors. The required durability periods for these products were presented, including the stability of the performance parameters declared by the manufacturers. Exemplary tests simulating operating conditions in environments such as X, Y, Z1, Z2 in the context of plastering mortars and reactive coatings have been described. The requirements set by the EAD documents in the scope of the assessment of the durability of products after exposure to these environments have been presented.
