Repair of cracked masonry walls using steel bars placed in bed joints

The article presents the strengthening of cracked masonry walls using steel bars placed in bed joints. Results of distribution of stresses between brick wall and steel bars depended on length of anchorage and bars’ diameter were presented. Safe anchoring length should not be smaller than about 100 cm.
