In the article field tests of new solutions of lap type joint querbeamsocket for steel transmission poles it is presented. The methodology of research and construction of the test stand was presented. Tests included static load tests of joint sockets performed in the scale 1:1. The purpose of the research was the verification of the limit capacity of the sockets considering the effect of local instability. The key results of two tested socket for transmission suspension poles were presented. Good repeatability of results was obtained for validation of numerical research with the use of advanced finite element method (FEM).
