Application of hot dip galvanized reinforcement in facades made of architectural concrete

The article presents considerations on the use of hot dip galvanized reinforcement in facadesmade of architectural concrete. The structure of a typical zinc coating was described, as well as previous experience related to the use of this type of a reinforcement in the world. The potential benefits and risks associated with the use of galvanized reinforcement are also presented. Keywords: architectural concrete; hot dip galvanized reinforcement; zink layer.
