The paper presents influence of selected types of works on accident phenomenon in the polish construction industry. 485 occupational accidents were analysed. The results obtained from the analysis of occupational accidents, which took place in five Polish voivodships: Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Śląskie, Lubelskie, Lubuskie and Dolnośląskie, between 2008 – 2014, were presented. As a result of this analysis, the critical paths with the highest number of occurrences were obtained for accidents that occurred as a result of falling froma height and buried under solid. Keywords: accident at work; accident phenomenon; falling from a height; buried under solid.
