The aim of this article is to analyse the implementation process of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) proposed in the “Best Practice Code for Effective Implementation of Intelligent Transportation Systems”. Research results indicate that the comprehensive approach suggested in the methodology described in the Code, which considers technical, organisational and social aspects, is a key success factor for implementing ITS projects. Analysis of individual stages of the implementation process confirms that an integrated approach encompassing planning, design and subsequent system maintenance significantly increases the chances of successful implementation, minimises the risk of failures and maximises benefits from investments in modern transportation solutions.

W artykule przeanalizowano proces wdrażania Inteligentnych Systemów Transportowych (ITS) zgodnie z propozycjami zawartymi w „Kodeksie Dobrych Praktyk dla Efektywnego Wdrażania Inteligentnych Systemów Transportowych”. Wyniki badań wskazują, że kompleksowe podejście przedstawione w metodologii Kodeksu, uwzględniające aspekty techniczne, organizacyjne i społeczne, stanowi kluczowy czynnik sukcesu w realizacji projektów ITS. Analiza poszczególnych etapów procesu wdrażania potwierdza, że zintegrowane podejście obejmujące planowanie, projektowanie oraz późniejsze utrzymanie systemu znacznie zwiększa szanse powodzenia wdrożenia, minimalizuje ryzyko niepowodzenia i maksymalizuje korzyści wynikające z inwestycji w nowoczesne rozwiązania transportowe.
