Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) composites reinforced with glass fiber (30 wt.%) and containing a phosphorescent powder (2–20 wt.%) and a lubricant (0.3 wt.%) were evaluated as glow-in-the-dark materials for construction applications. The addition of the luminophore increased the elastic modulus and significantly reduced impact strength (from approx. 47 to 21 kJ/m²). Both the intensity and duration of afterglow increased markedly with increasing pigment content. Microscopic observations revealed fragmentation of the luminophore particles while maintaining a favorable luminescence effect. The developed composites may be applied in high-stiffness structural elements capable of carrying substantial static loads while retaining functional visibility in darkness for approximately 2 hours after excitation.
