This paper proposes a method of choosing the most adequate compressionmodel for longitudinal reinforcement including the possibility of their inelastic buckling in relation to theway inwhich load is applied to reinforced concrete elements. Themethod consists inmodifying the availablemodels of reinforcement according to the conditions in which it works in reinforced concrete elements.
