The article presents logistical problems of laboratory studies performed in the flume channel with adopted selected proposals and solutions. The Hydrological laboratory located in the Institute of Civil Engineering of the Faculty of Geodesy, Geospatial and Civil Engineering in Olsztyn, was affirmed thanks to the funds obtained from the Operational Programme „The development of Eastern Poland 2007 – 2013”. The research possibilities provided by the flume channel, various kinds of logistical problems associated with its installation, exploitation, operation, innovative adaptations, but also routine maintenance of newly purchased test equipment were presented. The issues followed from the own experience which was gained during the work performed in the hydrologic laboratory were also presented.
